Magadino, a Saturday evening at the end of July 2023. The party was not in a hall but at Poroli Special Boats, among mahogany boats polished until the light reflects in them. A red Riva speedboat hung from the ceiling.
For the aperitif we played as a Roaming Band outside the Riva showroom, with guitar, saxophone and vocals right among the guests. Then dinner was served at long tables in the hall, under chandeliers, while haze drifted through the light. Later the hall became a dance floor.
The gin was by Jinpero, made in Switzerland and awarded gold at the IWSC in 2022.
Poroli Special Boats
Poroli Special Boats has existed since 1973 and has been a Riva partner since 1977. The Ticino company restores, maintains and sells the classic boats of the shipyard from Sarnico on Lake Iseo, whose history goes back to 1842.
Roaming Band
An aperitif needs no stage. As a Roaming Band we play acoustically from different spots among the guests, with guitar, saxophone and voice, close enough that people can still talk. More under Line-ups.
Party band in Ticino
In Ticino we play the summer party at Giardino Ascona every 1 August, at Moon & Stars in Locarno and at weddings on Lake Maggiore.
