Party band Switzerland

MAXiN party band turns escalation into style. We read the moment, lead, animate and fill the room with live music, beats and loops in the flow. Elegant in the build-up, wild in the release, precise in timing. For private, corporate and exclusive nights where extravagance meets exuberance. Extravagant doesn’t have to sparkle: a ski hut can be the place for a night like that too.

What a night with MAXiN sounds like

overdress! at the Zurich Opera House, March 2024. A hall full of costumes, a mirror ball above the tiers, and nobody stays seated.

A party band without a fixed setlist

MAXiN plays one continuous live mix. From a large song rotation the band decides spontaneously, from the mood in the room, what comes next, often before the current song has ended. The bandleader passes the next song to the musicians right on stage. So the music responds to the audience, not the other way round.

The band plays live and moves from one song into the next without a break, where it fits, joined by beats and loops. You get the energy of real musicians and the flow you otherwise know from a DJ. And where an evening needs room for conversation, the band holds back.

Two and a half hours straight

MAXiN plays without a break. An evening lives from its arc of tension: once the dance floor is on fire, we do not let the guests go. A break at the wrong moment costs energy that is hard to win back. If your schedule needs a break, for speeches or the cake, we plan it together when we talk through the evening.

Music and repertoire

Pop, dance, R&B, hip-hop, rock, funk, soul, Latin, Italo, jazz and world music. Current hits meet timeless classics, mixed live. As a cover band we play well-known songs, but not one after the other: as one continuous mix. More than 250 songs are in the repertoire.

We sing in German, English, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and French. Your guests’ song requests are welcome; the artistic interpretation stays with the band.

Line-up and prices

From two people on stage to the standard line-up with four musicians and up to nine musicians, often joined by saxophone. The fixed core is Fabienne Hauser as lead singer and Gianni D’Agostino as drummer, singer and bandleader.

The price is usually between CHF 4500 and 7500 (standard line-up), including our own sound and lighting from L-Acoustics, ACME and Astera for up to around 800 guests, and up to CHF 11000 for the largest line-up with eight to nine musicians. In German-speaking Switzerland, travel costs are included. We find the right line-up for your party together in a personal conversation. We recommend what suits the occasion, not the most expensive option.

Our own sound and lighting

MAXiN works with L-Acoustics for sound and ACME and Astera for lighting and LED. How the technology looks in the room matters to us as much as how it sounds: no cables lying around, no device that does not fit the picture. Depending on the line-up the band needs only two to six square metres, because our musicians play standing. We also play outdoors, acoustic even without any power.

Where the party band has played

We have played among others at the Zurich Opera House, the Bürgenstock Resort, Badrutt’s Palace in St. Moritz, the Fairmont Montreux Palace, the Victoria Jungfrau in Interlaken, Moon & Stars Locarno and every year on the MS Sonnenkönigin on Lake Constance. Plus Zug, Winterthur, Geneva, Lausanne with the SwissTech Convention Center and the Domaine de Pra Roman, Valais with The Dom Hotel in Saas-Fee, and abroad. All clients and venues are listed on the References page.

Party band in Zurich

A costume ball at the Opera House, as elegant as a premiere: a mirror ball above the tiers, and at midnight the whole house is dancing. That was overdress! in 2024 and 2025. MAXiN has played its biggest parties in Zurich, and some of the finest in a single room with a hundred guests.

More than 200 performances in the canton of Zurich since 2009. At the Zurich Opera House for overdress! in 2024 and 2025, sold out both times. Also, among others, at The Dolder Grand and the Dolder Bad, the Baur au Lac, the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, the Widder, the Storchen, the Carlton, the Uto Kulm, the Hotel Belvoir in Rüschlikon, Schloss Sihlberg, the Kameha Grand, the Hyatt Zurich, the Kongresshaus Zurich, the Zunfthaus zur Meisen, the Swiss Re Centre for Global Dialogue, the Lindt Home of Chocolate, THE HALL and the Samsung Hall in Dübendorf, the Giesserei Oerlikon, Kaufleuten and regularly at the Eventalm in Rümlang.

A company party at the Giesserei Oerlikon. An event at The Circle by the airport. A guild ball at the Zunfthaus zur Meisen, where the ceilings are older than any song in the repertoire. A hotel on Bahnhofstrasse sounds different from a hall in the Glatt valley. So we adapt line-up and volume to the room, not the other way round. We have the means to do it.

Basel

Under the wooden ceilings of the Safran Zunft, at the Volkshaus or in the Reithalle Wenkenhof in Riehen: MAXiN has played more than 30 evenings in and around Basel since 2013, and no two sounded alike.

A company party at the Congress Center. An evening at Schloss Rotberg, a castle in the middle of the forest. A corporate event at the Stücki. We bring sound and lighting and tune them to the room. A knights’ hall asks for something different from an exhibition hall.

Lucerne and Central Switzerland

The lake lies still, a saxophone plays on the terrace, and an hour later the hall is shaking. MAXiN has played more than 80 evenings around Lake Lucerne since 2008, from the KKL to the Bürgenstock.

A corporate event at the KKL. A staff party at the Art Deco Hotel Montana, high above the city. A summer evening at the Lido Beach House, almost with your feet in the water. Or a party at the Gaswerk Seewen, where the walls have heard a thing or two.

St. Gallen, Thurgau and Lake Constance

This is home. On Lake Constance, where the MS Sonnenkönigin turns into a dance floor every summer. And in St. Gallen, where the OpenAir has its own rules.

Every year we play on the MS Sonnenkönigin on Lake Constance, including the White Night.

The WEGA in Weinfelden, when the tent is boiling. A graduation party at the Würth Haus Rorschach, the lake outside the windows. An evening at the Kartause Ittingen within monastery walls. Short distances, because we are from the region.

Aargau

Lenzburg Castle on its hill, the Trafo in Baden, where transformers were once built: Aargau has places with history, and MAXiN has played more than 30 evenings there since 2010.

An evening at Badrutt’s Palace or the Kulm Country Club. A party on the Schatzalp, high above Davos. A wedding party at the Waldhaus Flims. In a grand hotel as well as in a mountain hut.

Ticino

An evening on Lake Maggiore starts differently: later, warmer, with a glass in hand. And when an Italian classic begins, the guests sing along. MAXiN also sings in Italian, and the bandleader has Italian roots.

Among others at the Giardino Ascona, most recently in 2026, the Hotel Eden Roc in Ascona, Moon & Stars in Locarno, the Seven in Lugano and the Lido di Bissone.

The summer party at the Giardino Ascona. A wedding at the Eden Roc, right on the lake. A celebration at the Lido di Bissone on Lake Lugano. On request with entire sets in Italian.

Party band FAQ

How much does a party band like MAXiN cost?

The price is usually between CHF 4500 and 7500 (standard line-up), including our own sound and lighting from L-Acoustics, ACME and Astera for up to around 800 guests, and up to CHF 11000 for the largest line-up with eight to nine musicians. The exact price depends on date, venue, line-up and schedule. In German-speaking Switzerland, travel costs are included. There are no surcharges for every hour begun.

Does the band take breaks?

Not at its core: MAXiN plays two and a half hours straight. If your schedule needs a break, for speeches or the cake, we plan it together when we talk through the evening.

Live band or DJ: which is better?

MAXiN combines both. The band plays live and moves from one song into the next without a break, as you know it from a DJ. Where it fits, beats and loops join in. And where an occasion needs calm and room for conversation, the band holds back.

How early should we book?

There is no fixed rule. For weddings most couples get in touch about a year ahead, some two years. The summer Saturdays go first. Short-notice bookings are often possible too. And because plans sometimes shift, a date that seemed taken occasionally becomes free again.

Can guests make song requests?

Of course. The song that makes your friends throw their arms up every time, the one nobody goes home without: tell us. The artistic interpretation stays with the band.

Does MAXiN also play in the Bernese Oberland and the Engadin?

Yes, for example in Interlaken, Gstaad and St. Moritz. In German-speaking Switzerland, travel costs are included.

Does MAXiN also sing in Italian?

Yes. We don’t just sing these languages, we live them. On request whole sets in one language, not just single songs.
